Hey Family!!! SO IT'S HERE!
Here's first episode of "22 For 22" where I'm showing you design tips in less than 22 minutes. This first episode is definitely ready for all of my DIYers and lovers of organization. I will give you 5 simple steps to get your pantry organized. ENJOY while MAKING EVERYDAY BEAUTIFUL!!!
Pantry Organization in 5 Steps:
Step 1: Take Everything Out.
You have to literally take everything out of your pantry. You have to see what you have, consilidate duplicates, throw out anything expired or that you don't use anymore. Put everything on a flat surface (kitchen island, counter, dining table) so that you can see everything in all of its glory. Have trash bags ready to throw out expired items or items you don't need use of. Step 2: Categorize Everything.
Now that you've taken out everything, put all of your items in catergories. Chips with chips, baking items with baking items, cereals with cereals, condiments with condiments. Itemize everything and bunch it together on your flat surface for the next steps in regards to spacing needs. Step 3: Assess Family Needs - Create your Pantry Layout.
Since you have categorized everything, where should these categories go for your family? Keep important things, or things you need to visually see at eye level. Maybe put sweets, snacks and alcholic beverages at the top to make them harder to reach for indulgence or safety purposes. Or maybe you want your snacks for easy kid access. Do what works for your family. Step 4: Get a Variety of Bins!
Bins are life!!! Get different sizes and types of bins. If you truly want to see everything, maybe clear bins are your jam. If you want things tucked, or have items that you don't want to spill, get some taller bins with handles. Does what your storing need to be closed for freshness like pastas or cereals? Then get some clear bins with sealed pop tops to ensure you can see those items as they remain fresh. You will need a variety as your items have different shapes and sizes. Step 5: Use Labels.
Label all of your bins, or items that you pack away and categorize. Purchase a label maker, or get bins that have blank labels that are inserted, and name your categories or specific items. You can title categories of items such as "Baking Needs" or "Cooking Sauces". Of course with actual named items you can state "Cinnamon Toast Crunch" so you and your guests know which cereal you're grabbing in those early mornings.

This was great!!! Your pantry looked great afterwards. Mine is a hot mess too right now, but this gives me a renewed motivation to get it cleared out and reorganized. Thanks for the tips Tiana!
