Tis a lie! April Fools!!! You know I always got tips for you! Lol
Now that’s out the way. (Pray for me. I had to) 🤦🏽♀️
Let’s talk decorating and table setting. I get questions from clients all the time on adding that little finishing touch to their space. Just a little pizazz or razzle dazzle truly completes the space and goes a long way.

Even as interior designers, sometimes this can be challenging for us, but we know it MUST be done (even in supply chain delays 😩😩). All those small decor pieces and trinkets are thought out. It is ALL planned. Every single detail is thought out.
Yes, that small pile of books below are thought out.

Yes, that little black wooden beaded necklace was thought out.

Yes, that vase, that EXACT island vase, was thought out for that specific room and location. (And do you see it’s little sibling behind it to connect symmetry?!? - thought out)

Designers know it’s in the details. This doesn’t mean you have to have a lot of pieces and start hoarding. This is just saying to create the look and feel you’re going for, be intentional about the vibe you’re trying to create with your decor pieces.
Tiana Tips:
1. Going for a beachy or coastal vibe? Get some cool bookends or sculptures in the shape of a seashells. Use rattans, or buy art pieces that have views of the ocean. Use blue hues, sands, whites, and calming colors.

2. Going for an upscale New York flat vibe? Play with major contrast colors like black and white. Don’t be afraid of a dark accent wall. Buy moody hued accent furniture. Look for brass hardware and sharp edges in decor pieces that give a modern art museum vibe.

3. Going for a traditional farmhouse feel? Incorporate old age stoneware like brick and mortar. Always bring the outside in with natural flowers and country foliage. Don’t get “trendy” pieces that might not last, but rather pieces with a story to tell, that show their age or have imperfections.

In the next blog, (on the 14th 😉) we’ll show how to style a piece in 3 different ways.
Again, it’s in the details. 💗
Make Everyday Beautiful,
Tiana
